PRs: 5K-21:00+, 8K-36:00+, 10K-43:00+, Half marathon-1:42:00 (under awful conditions), Marathon-4:40+, 50K- around 6 hours.

Years running ultras: 2

Number of ultras finished: 3-50K's, plus one shorter mountain run that would probably qualify.

Best ultra performance: Fairfield 50K, 1998- first 50K. Not particularly fast, but that wasn't the goal. I finished happy, feeling good, and with a smile.

Most memorable ultra performance: See above.

Typical training week: Varies widely. Anywhere from 10-15 MPW to 60+. No set schedule or speedwork sessions.

Injuries: ITB, PF, AT - all minor.

Favorite ultra(s): So far, Fairfield, but I've not done many others.

Favorite food/drinks during an ultra: Sandwiches/water

Favorite place to run: Shawnee Mission Park horse trails.

Favorite type of running surface: Trails - rocky, muddy - the rougher the better.

Why do you run ultras? Because I can. Seriously, it gives me an awesome sense of accomplishment.
Short-term goal: To run more consistently.

Long-term goal: 24 Hour track race - maybe some day a multi-day?
